How to Use Ceramides for Dry Skin

Layer ceramide products from thinnest to thickest consistency on damp skin to rebuild your moisture barrier.

Ceramides are maintenance, not magic - think of them as rebuilding the walls of your house, not just painting over cracks.

  1. Start with clean, damp skin. Cleanse with a gentle, non-stripping cleanser and pat skin until it's damp, not bone dry. The slight moisture helps ceramides penetrate better and creates a foundation for layering.
  2. Apply ceramide serum first. Use 2-3 drops of ceramide serum on your face and neck while skin is still damp. Ceramide serums have smaller molecules that can penetrate deeper when applied to slightly wet skin.
  3. Follow with ceramide moisturizer. Apply your ceramide-rich moisturizer while the serum is still tacky. This creates layers of barrier repair that work together to lock in hydration and prevent water loss.
  4. Use morning and night consistently. Ceramides work best with consistent use since they're rebuilding your skin's natural barrier over time. Apply morning and evening for at least 4-6 weeks to see real improvement in dryness.
