How to Use Jojoba Oil for Skin

Apply 2-3 drops of jojoba oil to damp skin morning or night, focusing on dry areas and avoiding the immediate eye area.

Jojoba oil is the closest thing to a universal moisturizer that exists, but most people use too much and wonder why their skin feels greasy.

  1. Start with clean, damp skin. Cleanse your face as usual, then pat dry leaving skin slightly damp. The moisture helps jojoba oil spread evenly and absorb better rather than sitting on the surface.
  2. Use the right amount. Warm 2-3 drops between your palms until it becomes liquid. More oil doesn't mean better results—too much will leave you greasy and may clog pores.
  3. Apply in upward motions. Gently press and pat the oil into your skin, starting from your neck and working upward. Focus on dry areas like cheeks and forehead while avoiding the immediate eye area where skin is most delicate.
  4. Layer correctly. If using other products, apply jojoba oil after water-based serums but before heavier creams. In your morning routine, always finish with SPF as your final step.
