How to Keep Dewy Skin When It's Sweltering

Lock moisture under primer, use cream products sparingly, and mist strategically throughout the day.

  1. Prime for humidity. Apply a thin layer of hydrating primer after moisturizer but before anything else. This creates a barrier that holds moisture against your skin while preventing makeup from sliding off.
  2. Switch to cream formulas. Replace powder products with cream blush, cream bronzer, and liquid highlighter. These blend into damp skin instead of sitting on top and caking.
  3. Set only where you sweat. Dust translucent powder only on your T-zone and under eyes. Leave cheeks and the rest of your face untouched to maintain that natural glow.
  4. Mist, don't spray. Use a fine mist setting spray held 8 inches away. One light layer locks everything in place without disturbing the dewiness underneath.
