How to Reset Your Skincare Routine
Strip back to cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF for two weeks, then reintroduce one product at a time.
Most people's skin problems come from doing too much, not too little—a reset forces you to rebuild with intention instead of habit.
- Strip everything back. Use only a gentle cleanser, basic moisturizer, and SPF for 14 days. Your skin needs time to recalibrate without interference from active ingredients or potential irritants.
- Assess your baseline. Notice how your skin feels and looks with just the basics. This is your true starting point, not what you think your skin needs based on past routines.
- Reintroduce one product weekly. Add back one product every 7 days, starting with what your skin actually needs most. If something causes irritation, you'll know exactly what it was.
