How to Apply SPF Moisturizer Like You Mean It
Use a quarter teaspoon for your face, apply on clean skin before makeup, and reapply every two hours when you're actually outside.
People obsess over SPF numbers but apply so little product they get maybe SPF 10 protection anyway.
- Start with clean, dry skin. Cleanse first, then wait thirty seconds before applying SPF moisturizer. Wet skin dilutes the formula and compromises protection.
- Measure properly. Use a quarter teaspoon for your face and neck combined. Most people use half this amount and wonder why they burn.
- Apply in sections. Dot the product on your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin, then blend outward. Don't forget your neck, ears, and the area around your eyes.
- Wait before makeup. Give it three to five minutes to set before applying foundation or concealer. This prevents pilling and ensures even coverage.
- Reapply strategically. Every two hours if you're outdoors or sweating. Indoors with minimal sun exposure, your morning application usually holds.
