How to Get Naturally Glowing Skin

Glow comes from consistent hydration, gentle exfoliation, and protecting your skin barrier—not from expensive serums.

Real glow is about skin health, not Instagram filters—focus on boring consistency over exciting ingredients and you'll actually see results.

  1. Double cleanse without stripping. Use an oil cleanser first to dissolve makeup and SPF, then a gentle water-based cleanser to remove residue. Your skin should feel clean but never tight or squeaky—that's damage, not cleanliness.
  2. Exfoliate strategically. Use a chemical exfoliant with BHA or AHA 2-3 times per week, never daily. Start with lower concentrations and build tolerance. Physical scrubs create microtears that dull your complexion over time.
  3. Layer hydration properly. Apply thinner products first, thicker ones last. A hydrating toner or essence, then serum, then moisturizer. Each layer should absorb before adding the next—patting, not rubbing.
  4. Never skip SPF. Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 minimum every single day, even indoors. UV damage is cumulative and the fastest way to lose luminosity. Reapply every two hours if you're outside.
  5. Sleep and hydrate internally. Drink water consistently throughout the day and aim for 7-8 hours of sleep. Your skin repairs itself overnight—disrupted sleep shows on your face within days.
